The QoL index was further developed for GCRO, to measure QoL in an urban and city-region context.
For each indicator, a score of 0 or 1 was allocated to each respondent in order to compute an overall score for the area. For each dimension, the score was then scaled out of 1.
For each dimension, a maximum score of 1 was possible (working on the same 0-1 basis as the Gini co-efficient).
