Although satisfaction levels differ by service and municipal area, the results are on the whole quite positive.
With a few exceptions (notably in Westonaria), more than 70% of respondents – and in some parts over 80% – were satisfied or very satisfied with publicly provided dwellings, water supply, sanitation and waste removal.
Satisfaction levels dipped for energy and roads, with about two thirds of respondents being satisfied or very satisfied. However more residents were dissatisfied than were satisfied with energy and roads in Emfuleni and Westonaria.
About half of respondents were satisfied or very satisfied with health services and safety & security, with some exceptions such as in Lesedi.
